The Accsoon CineView M7 Pro is the best 7″ monitor I’ve ever used. Not only does it have the most accurate and best quality screen I’ve ever used, it also gives me camera control (including touch to focus!) of my Sony FX3 and FX30. Did I mention it can also be configured as a wireless transmitter? And you don’t even need to buy additional receivers: you can download the free Accsoon app to your iPad and use your iPad as a director’s or producer’s monitor. Have an assistant or set designer who wants to see the frame? Have them download the app to their phone and you have multiple wireless screens without breaking the bank.
PROS:
+ best quality screen – apple quality screen that comes colour calibrated from the factory
+ best focus peaking I’ve used. I don’t know how to describe it, but it doesn’t overly exaggerate the focus peaking lines, allowing me to achieve accurate focus faster and easier than ever.
+ robust chassis with lots of IO options. I’m not outgrowing this monitor for a long time, as it not only accommodates my HDMI rigs, but has SDI and converts to boot!
+ Sony Camera Control via wired USBC cable. After using this monitor, I can’t go back to using “dumb” monitors that don’t allow me to touch to focus.
+ a full Android tablet with integrated FAN! This thing never overheats, thanks to its fan. It’s also not as noisy as my other monitors. I think the metal chassis helps with the heat dissipation better than my plastic monitors that run hot and loud.
THINGS I’D LIKE IMPROVED:
+ Focus Tracking box disappears after touching screen. This means I need to check my camera’s LCD monitor to confirm the focus is tracking the object I desire. It would be MUCH better if they could keep the AF box active while tracking.
+ auto-connect to camera control. not a biggie, as it’s only click to confirm camera control, but less friction is better.
I think the above improvements can be implemented in firmware updates, and with Accsoon’s track record of releasing updates for their excellent Accsoon SEE app, I look forward to other ways they improve this system.
RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES:
If you need to shoot outdoors, get the cage with sunhood. This will reduce flare and glare to help you compose and shoot better.
In some camera rig configurations, I find the USBC slot for camera control gets in the way of mounting points. Not to worry: pick up this slim USBC cable adapter and you can use the side mounting hole.
WRAPPING UP
It’s true the Accsoon CineView M7 Pro isn’t cheap. But if you consider how much it does, and the fact it can replace a separate wireless transmitter, reducing not only the time, bulk and weight of another item, and the stress of additional battery management, it’s an incredible value at twice the price. And with the highest quality screen AND camera control to boot, this is the monitor to beat in 2026.
