Kyno Video Software Review

Kyno can be a video producer’s best friend when it comes to viewing, organizing, and prepping media for use in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro X and social medial.

  • speed in use
  • batch renaming
  • customer support

  • limited (non-standard) keyboard shortcuts
  • not the most intuitive
  • no conflict management for multi-users of network drive
  • metadata not written to files
  • Kyno-aware metadata only
  • stability
  • re-encode vs re-wrap
  • metadata not in file
  • move files around using Kyno
  • Delete is permanent!

Not without quirks, Kyno is a relative newcomer to video production software that has already become an indispensable tool in my video producer’s bag. Highly recommended!
