Nikon Z6 Slo-Mo Video Test

I continue to be impressed by the Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras. The video above is a 1080p slow-mo test at 60fps and 120fps which, at first glance, seems to be just a bit sharper than my Sony A7iii at 120fps. Aside: You can blame the poor white balance on the (a) gym lighting and (b) my bad guess as to the K-value (the one day I left my colour meter at home – DOH!).

Audio was recorded via the Nikon Z6‘s built-in stereo mics (which are far superior to those in the Sony A7iii). All zooming is optically done and controlled via the excellent Ronin-S focus motor.

Below is a full list of the gear tested.

For the indoor volleyball slow-mo test footage, I had it atop a Ronin-S gimbal with the Ronin-S focus motor controlling the Z 24-70mm f4 zoom ring.

I used my cheap Viltrox 5″ monitor atop the PolarPro Ronin-S monitor mount for easier composition and focus peaking.
