If you’re a B&H customer like me, here’s a wishlist of the gear I use and recommend.

This is the box you want to get rock-solid livestreams:

Blackmagic Design Web Presenter
List Price: $495.00
Price: $495.00
You Save: N/A

NOTE: it comes with absolutely no cables – even power! You’ll need to pick these up if you can’t find them around your house:

If you’re wanting to switch between 2 cameras, you’ll need this optional smart panel:

The BMWP has one SDI input and one HDMI input. If you’re like me and only own cameras with HDMI outputs, get this converter to livestream switch between 2 HDMI cameras:

My audio engineering background is coming out with this recommendation – This USB mixer has built-in soft knee compression that doesn’t suck:

TIP: Set the compression know between 10 and 12 o’clock to even out spoken word without fuss.

BEHRINGER XENYX X1204USB
List Price: $179.99
Price: $179.99
You Save: N/A

I prefer the faders in the mixer above for real-time mixing, but if you’re on a tight budget, here’s a knobby version that includes the same awesome built-in compression:

BEHRINGER XENYX Q1202USB
List Price: $149.99
Price: $99.99
You Save: $50.00

Not my best-sounding lavs, but still my go-to for recording multiple guests for both the ease of setup and reliability.

NOTE: this lav’s connector is made to plug directly into smartphones (TRRS) so you’ll need the audio adapters below to get them plugged into anything else:

This TRRS to TRS adapter allows you to plug the above lav into most video cameras that accept external mics, and is requires before connecting to the XLR adapter below.

Rode SC3 3.5mm TRRS to TRS Adaptor
List Price: $14.99
Price: $14.99
You Save: N/A

This XLR adapter below is required to get the lav mic + TRS adapter into the mixer:

This is kind of optional, but the lav mic’s cable is really short, so I find this extension cable a necessity:
